Managing Players

The Players page allows team managers to manage their roster by adding, editing, and removing players. This feature is only available for tournaments using the "Teams & Players" mode.
Accessing Players
- Log into the Team Panel
- Click Players in the sidebar navigation
Note: This page only appears if the tournament is configured to track individual players within teams.
Player Roster Overview
The page header shows:
- Current number of players on the roster
- Maximum players allowed (default: 50)
- Remaining capacity for new players
Adding Players
When roster management is enabled, teams can add new players:
- Click the Add Player button in the top right
- Fill in the player details:
- Player Name (required)
- Date of Birth - Select from a date picker
- Jersey Number - Enter a number between 1-999
- Position - The player's typical position
- Additional Info - Any extra notes about the player
- Photo - Upload a player photo (if images are included in your plan)
- Click Save to add the player
Player Limit
Each team can have a maximum of 50 players. When approaching the limit:
- A warning shows how many more players can be added
- When the limit is reached, the Add Player button is disabled
- A tooltip explains that the maximum has been reached
Player Information Table
The roster displays in a table with the following columns:

| Number | Jersey number displayed as a badge |
| Name | Player's full name (searchable, sortable) |
| Position | Playing position displayed as a badge |
| Date of Birth | Formatted as dd.mm.yyyy |
| Additional Info | Extra notes (expandable if truncated) |
Searching and Sorting
- Use the search box to find players by name or position
- Click column headers to sort by name or other fields
Editing Players
When roster management is enabled:
- Find the player in the roster
- Click the Edit icon (pencil) in the Actions column
- Update the player's information
- Click Save to apply changes
Removing Players
When roster management is enabled:
- Find the player in the roster
- Click the Delete icon (trash) in the Actions column
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog
Warning: Deleting a player is permanent and will remove them from the roster. However, their match statistics and events (goals, assists, cards) will be retained for historical accuracy.
Player Statistics
For detailed statistics on player performance, use the Player Statistics page which shows:
- Goals scored
- Assists provided
- Own goals
- Yellow and red cards
- Average match rating
Roster Management Permissions
When Management is Enabled
- Full access to add, edit, and delete players
- Photo upload available (if images included in plan)
- All actions are immediate
When Management is Disabled
- Roster displays in read-only mode
- Add, edit, and delete buttons are hidden
- Teams can only view their current roster
Tournament organizers typically enable roster management during preparation and may lock it once the tournament starts to ensure roster validity.
Best Practices for Teams
Complete Roster Information
- Add all players before the tournament starts
- Include accurate dates of birth (often required for eligibility)
- Use consistent jersey numbers
- Add positions to help with lineup management
Player Photos
- Upload clear, front-facing photos
- Use consistent photo sizes and backgrounds
- Update photos if players change significantly
Roster Accuracy
- Remove players who will not participate
- Update information if players change positions
- Keep contact information current
For Tournament Organizers
Before the Tournament
- Enable roster management so teams can build their squads
- Communicate roster deadlines clearly
- Set player limits appropriate for your tournament
During the Tournament
Consider:
- Locking roster changes after registration closes
- Allowing limited transfers if your rules permit
- Reviewing rosters for eligibility compliance
After Registration
If you need to lock rosters:
- Go to Settings > Team Panel
- Disable Allow Roster Management
- Teams can still view their roster but cannot make changes
