Admin Users and Roles
Last updated: September 29, 2026
Most tournaments are run by more than one person. System → Admin Users is where you invite them and decide what each one can do. Everyone on your organiser team, their pending invitations and what each role allows are all on this one page.
The two roles#
Each person has exactly one role.
| Role | Who it's for | What they can do |
|---|---|---|
| Administrator | Organisers who run the tournament | Everything: settings, divisions, teams, structure, schedule, website, finances, hospitality and this admin team |
| Results editor | Volunteers and table officials at the venue | Enter scores, goals, cards and the match sheet, and correct results entered earlier. Nothing else |
A results editor can't change teams, the schedule or any settings, so you can hand a login to a hall volunteer without risking the rest of your tournament.
Inviting someone#
- Open System → Admin Users and click Invite user.
- Enter their email and choose the language for the invitation email.
- Pick a role: Administrator or Results editor.
- Click Send invitation.
They receive an email with a link to join. Until they accept, the invitation is listed under Pending invitations with its role, language and who sent it. An invitation is valid for 7 days.
- Resend sends the same invitation again and gives it another 7 days. Use it when someone can't find the email.
- Revoke cancels the invitation, and the link stops working.
You can't invite an address that already has a pending invitation or that already belongs to someone on the team.
Changing a role#
Click the role in a person's row and pick the new one. The change applies straight away; if that person has the tournament open, their next click follows the new role.
Two rules keep the tournament safe:
- You can't change your own role. Ask another administrator to do it.
- The last administrator stays an administrator. A tournament always needs at least one person who can manage it, so the only administrator can't be switched to Results editor or removed.
Removing someone#
Click Remove in their row and confirm. They lose access to this tournament straight away. You can invite them again later. The same two rules apply: you can't remove yourself or the last administrator.
What a results editor sees#
When a results editor signs in, the sidebar shows only Matches. On that page they can:
- Enter results in the quick result popup: score, status, extra time, penalties and sets.
- Open the Match Centre for the full match sheet: line-ups, goals, cards, substitutions and MVP.
The kick-off time, venue, referees and notes are shown but can't be edited, and the schedule, venue and matchday controls on the match list are read-only. Any other page they try to open, such as a bookmarked link, takes them back to Matches.
Tip for match days. Give each hall or pitch its own results editor login. Two people saving the same match at the same moment overwrite each other, so one person per match keeps results clean.
Seasons share one team#
If your tournament has several seasons, the organiser team is shared by all of them. Inviting someone, changing a role or removing someone in one season does the same in every season. The page reminds you of this at the top.
FAQ#
Can I create my own roles with a custom mix of permissions? No. There are two roles, and they cover what tournaments need: running the event, and entering results at the venue.
Can a results editor see the public website or share results? Yes. The public website is open to everyone, and results they enter appear there straight away.
Can I limit a results editor to one hall or one division? Not yet. A results editor can enter results for every match in the tournament.
