The Website Editor is where you build and publish your tournament's public website. It replaces the old Website Settings page: instead of a stack of forms, you get a visual, drag-and-drop builder with a live preview and a clear draft → publish workflow.

Find it in the dashboard under Website > Website Editor.

Coming from the old Website Settings page? Everything you used to do there now lives in the Website Editor — page visibility, theme, registration, sponsors, PWA icon, home layout. The main difference: changes are now saved as a draft and go live only when you press Publish.

Draft, Preview, Publish#

The biggest change from before: your website is no longer updated the instant you change a setting. The editor works on a draft, so you can make several changes, preview them, and push them all live at once.

  • Unpublished changes — an amber badge appears in the toolbar whenever your draft differs from the live site.
  • Preview — opens your draft exactly as visitors will see it, without touching the live site.
  • Publish — makes the current draft live.
  • Discard — throws the draft away and reverts to whatever is currently live.

Tournament data (results, standings, fixtures, rosters) still updates automatically and in real time — the draft/publish flow applies only to your website's layout and settings.

The toolbar#

The bar at the top of the editor holds the site-wide actions:

  • Live site — opens the currently published website in a new tab.
  • Language — the single language your public website is displayed in (15+ languages). This is the website's language, separate from your dashboard language.
  • Theme — colors, presets, custom colors, and the hero background image (see Theme).
  • PWA — the installable-app settings, including the custom app icon (see Progressive Web App).
  • Preview / Discard / Publish — the draft workflow described above.

Page workspaces#

Below the toolbar is a row of tabs, one per page of your website:

Home · Results · Matches · Teams · Venues · Registration · Sponsors · Summary

  • A green dot next to a tab means that page is enabled (shown on the public site); a gray dot means it is hidden.
  • A lock icon means the page needs a paid plan.
  • Selecting a tab opens that page's workspace, where you toggle the page on or off and set its page-wide options (for example, "Include ongoing matches in standings" on Results, or the registration period on Registration).

The Home tab is special: it is the full drag-and-drop block editor described below. Every other tab is a focused settings workspace for that page.

Building the home page#

The Home workspace has two parts: the palette on the left and the canvas in the middle.

The palette#

The palette holds blocks that are available but not yet on your page, split into two groups:

  • Cards — small blocks (Current Phase, Teams Count, QR Code, Install App, Top Scorer, Tournament Dates, Countdown, Social Media, and a Custom Card).
  • Big cards — large blocks (Latest Results, Upcoming Matches, Standings Preview, Top Scorers, Live Now, Winner Recap, Custom Content, Venues).

Add a block to the page either by clicking its + button or by dragging it onto the canvas.

The canvas#

The canvas is your home page, top to bottom, exactly in the order visitors will see it.

  • The Hero (your tournament banner) is pinned to the top and always shows first. Edit it with its pencil to show/hide the logo, status badge and description, write a custom hero Description, and choose a background — see Themes & Backgrounds.
  • Small cards flow into a row. Several cards next to each other line up side by side, up to four per row, just like the live page.
  • Big cards and full-width bands break the row. A large block always takes the full width, so the cards before it finish their row and the next cards start a fresh one.
  • Drag any block anywhere. Cards and big cards share one stream, so you can freely interleave them — a row of cards, then a big results block, then another card, then standings, in whatever order tells your tournament's story best.

Block controls#

Hover a block on the canvas to reveal its controls:

  • Pencil (Edit) — opens that block's settings (for example, the heading on a section, or how many rows it shows).
  • Eye (Show / Hide) — for full-width bands (Banners, Divisions picker, Registration call-to-action, Call to action, Share, Sponsors), toggles whether the band appears on the public site. Hidden bands stay on the canvas so you can turn them back on.
  • ✕ (Remove) — sends a card or big card back to the palette. It is not deleted; you can add it again anytime.

Full-width bands#

Some blocks always span the full width and sit between your card and section rows:

  • Banners (Pro/Premium) — promotional image banners.
  • Divisions picker — for multi-division tournaments, lets visitors jump to a division.
  • Registration call-to-action — a prompt to sign up, shown while registration is open.
  • Call to action — a custom button/prompt of your own.
  • Share — social sharing. Marked All pages because it shows on every page.
  • Sponsors — the sponsor strip. Also All pages.

Theme#

Open Theme from the toolbar to change how the site looks.

  • Standard themes — clean, sporty presets (Dark Stadium, Light Mode, Blue Sports, and more), free on every plan.
  • Premium themes (Pro/Premium) — an editorial, magazine-grade set with refined typography and a premium surface. Shown locked on free plans.
  • Custom colors (Pro/Premium) — define your own palette, with a built-in contrast check that stops an unreadable combination from going live.
  • Hero background — pick from the sample gallery (Standard samples free, Premium samples on Pro/Premium), or upload your own image (Images feature; 1920×600px or larger).

Theme changes are staged in your draft and go live on Publish, like everything else. See Themes & Backgrounds for the full guide.

Progressive Web App (PWA)#

Open PWA from the toolbar to manage how your site installs as a mobile app.

  • Every tournament site is installable on iOS and Android from the browser (see Public Website → Mobile App Installation).
  • Tournaments with the Images feature can upload a custom app icon (square, 512×512px or larger). Without one, the MyCup logo is used.

Sponsors in the editor#

Sponsors are now managed inside the Website Editor, not on a separate dashboard page.

  1. Open the Sponsors tab.
  2. Add, edit, reorder, and show/hide sponsors right there.
  3. Toggle the sponsors page on or off and set its title/description.

Sponsors is a premium feature. See Public Website → Sponsors for logo guidelines and display details.

The Summary (end-of-tournament recap)#

The Summary tab builds an end-of-tournament recap page.

  • Set final placements — record who finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and so on. Leave a place empty to fall back to the live standings.
  • Publishing is gated — the recap can only be published once every match is finished. Until then, you can configure it, but the publish switch stays locked with an explanation.

Best on desktop#

The editor is a drag-and-drop builder with a live preview, so it works best on a larger screen. On a phone or small tablet you'll see a reminder at the top of the editor — dragging blocks and using the preview are limited on small screens. You can still open and read the editor anywhere; for building, use a desktop.

A typical workflow#

  1. Open Website > Website Editor.
  2. On Home, drag the blocks you want into the order you want.
  3. Use each page tab to enable the pages you need and set their options.
  4. Set your Theme and, if you use it, upload a PWA icon.
  5. Press Preview to see the draft as visitors will.
  6. When you're happy, press Publish — or Discard to start over from the live version.
  • Public Website — the full reference for each public page (Matches, Results, Teams, Venues, Registration, Sponsors, PWA install).
